Cultivar 2.0

Materials: silk thread (hand dyed), linen burlap (hand dyed)

Techniques: This started as a exercise to see if thickened dye would be effective on this loose weave linen fabric. Thickened fiber reactive dye was randomly painted onto the linen burlap. Colours were built up in layers where tape was used to mask various areas. Once dyed, I decided it looked garden-like so I stitched the flower and bud on to it.
